DA GRIN - "OLAITAN OLAONIPEKUN "

Life and Death Summary of "DA GRIN"

A good number of people have asked me who "DaGrin" was
after the fatal incident that recently happened
so i decided to write a piece on him.

Da Grin shot to fame after releasing "Ghetto Dreams", the first single off his debut and only album C.E.O (Chief Executive Omoita) featuring MO’BB Records producer Sossick. He speaks about how the streets of "LasGidi" (Lagos) has influenced him and his music.

Other tunes on the album are; Everyday ft Jay, Pon Pon Pon, Kondo Magic, Swag ft Cartiair, Make Doe ft Dark Poet & Sosick, Gboro ft Isolate, What they want, Hola Hola ft Tfizzle, Thank God ft Omawunmi. Bonus track included two songs in which he featured in; NLA by Lala and Iwofa by Bigiano.

OLAITAN OLAONIPEKUN "DA GRIN" was born in Nigeria on the 25th of October 1987 and passed away on the 22nd of April 2010.

Da Grin was involved in a serious car crash in front of Alakara Police Station in Mushin on the 14th of April 2010 at about 2am and was rushed to Tai Solarin Hospital in Mushin but was later transfered to Lagos University Teaching Hospital. He remained in a coma but came out of it early Thursday evening in a "pretty stable condition", as we were told. It was reported that indicate that the incident was caused by a cement delivery truck which collided with DaGrin's ride full on

He was pronounced dead on the 22nd of April, 2010. May his soul R.I.P.....

Nailsss!

To create the prints; get a black nail varnish or your preferred colour, begin to draw open and closed bracket randomly on the nail. If you haven't got steady hands get a small nail art brush or if u have one, a art brush similar to the one in the picture below. The smallest tipped brush would be the best bet; it'll allow you to have more control and precision. Then choose another prefered colour (i used gold on mine) and place small dots in between the brackets. Let that dry then add a coat of clear varnish over it to make it look more professional. I have not done that step on mine doe but, your better off putting a clear varnish over it

BarryM - Dont have this with me but its a baby blue colour will find out the name of the colour when i get it.

Rimmel 60 seconds in purple.

Hair Products i cannot live without / Hair product review

My hair means the world to me that's why i have so much respect for people who go through cancer.
Dr.Miracle is all about reducing hair breakage, dryness and damage from the chemicals, that is exactly what it does!.
In the No-lye relaxer you get; a no-lye relaxer cream, activator, a colour alarm neutralizing shampoo gloves a mixing stick, protective gel and directions like every other relaxer, but there are added extras. A "relaxed hair potion" is also inside, it acts as a leave-in conditioner which they claim it stimulates the scalp to promote hair growth! Now trust me i know this works because made a drastic decision to cut my hair last hair and the rate in which my hair is growing is incredible!
Aside from the relaxed hair potion, Dr. Miracle, late last year added another product into their No-lye relaxer box which is the "Tingling Intensive Deep conditioning Treatment". It claims to add brilliant shine, promote hair growth and also give your hair fabulous body. Again, i agree because I personally see it working.
I don't think I would be trying any other hair relaxer any time soon. Depending on your hair type; it comes in Super and Regular.
If you are a little up and down about what hair relaxer to use, you should try this and see if it satisfies your hair needs.

"Temple and Nape Gro Balm". These is especially great if you are lacking front and back hair. This doesn't apply to me but I still use them for my hair growth process and they is working, They also gives my hair strength!

The "Isoplus wrapping lotion" is a product i don't think i can live without because of the wonders it does. It is best used right after you have relaxed your hair. It can be used for wrapping setting and blow Drying. Does exactly what it says on the bottle; mosturising & conditioning, Body & Volume and shine.
I constantly wrap my hair so i don't have to straighten it reducing the risk of serious heat damage (this does not mean i don't straighten my hair).
Saturate your wet hair with it, distribute trough the hair with a comb then starting from the crown of your head, comb and smooth hair in a circular motion following one direction around the head forming sort of a "roundabout" on the head. Use a head cap/a silk scarf to cover it in place and dry it for about 30 minutes or till its thoroughly dry.
When that is done, remove the scarf/cap and your hair falls in place without having to straighten it. just comb/brush your in your desired style.
The picture of me is how my hair came out after wrapping it! No GHD/flat hair or hairdresser. Just the traditional way of doing hair. Ask you grandmas, i'm sure they know about it

Hope I have help a person or two.
Have fun trying it.

Hair I did for my sister

What this is, is me getting bored.
I wrapped her hair and dried it for about 45minutes, then glued in tracks in front to create an heavy fringe/bangs. Then gave her a shape-up.
Try this and see how it comes out.

  • My biker padded tight skinny jeans was from H&M, discount price of £15 a few months ago- the padding gives shape and definition *FIGURE 8* its got a side zipper on the leg
  • I don't remember where i got my bag, when i do i'll update u. I saw a similar & cheaper one on ASOS, so go check that out aswl
  • Shoes are from ASOS
  • Went along with d chain detailing for the belt... belt from BASLER. You can get a cheaper version in Topshop
  • I had so much gold chains going on so i went for a stud earring. Remember, when your accessories feel/seem too much, it probably is.
  • For my hair, i swept the sides back and pinned it down then curled the fringe to the side.
